Uni so far ?

Uni so far?

I didn't really know what to call this post so excuse the title, I guess I just want to write about what I think of uni so far and how I am finding it. So if you're interested carry on reading!

So, I moved into uni mid September, I  live in a flat with five other people- two girls and three boys (if anyone wanted the deets), on campus accommodation. I like to think I am an independent person, I can cook, do the laundry, do general cleaning so I guess practically it wasn't really an issue. However emotionally I didn't find it too easy, to be fair I don't think a lot of people do and it is fair to say I was very homesick for the first week. Where my uni is located isn't exactly the hustle and bustle of London and that was also a massive change for me because that's what I've been used to for the past 19 years.

Now on to the education side of it, I am studying financial mathematics and trust me it is HARD, well I find it quite challenging. The teaching style is also something to get used to because obviously it is nothing like school. My lecturers- some are great and some not so much, and that's all I'm going to say. I'm not a massive fan of my timetable, with most of my lectures on a Friday out of all days, but I guess you can't have it all?

Lastly, socially, I have met a lot of amazing people over the last few weeks! My flat mates are all so lovely, we aren't as close as some but that's okay. I would say I am closer to the people on my course and I am so grateful for great course mates. I have been to a couple of events and they were enjoyable to say the least, it's just lovely to meet so many new people from all kind of backgrounds, that's one thing I love about uni!

Anyway, I think I'll leave it here. This post was more for me to write down my thoughts about uni rather than for 'entertainment' purposes, but if you did enjoy reading that's a bonus!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
Kasthuri :) xxxx
